Xperia mini and Xperia mini pro hit UK pre-order, Dated for August release

The diminutive Xperia mini and Xperia mini pro handsets are now both available to pre-order sim-free in the UK. Play.com has flagged the release date of the handsets as 5 August where the Xperia mini will set you back £209.99 and the Xperia mini pro (including a keyboard) will cost £239.99. These are more expensive than the X10 mini products were on release, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Xperia mini lower than £200 shortly after launch.

Hope Malaysia will launch it too on August 2011, Xperia Ray might be launch on September 2011. So, it won't crash on the month of launching date.

Great Xperia Mini & Mini Pro Event Last Night

May 6th, 2011
I must admit I’m a bit tired today. I really think the event last night was a great one, the discussions I had with some of you attending were truly inspirational and it was great to get to meet that many tech-bloggers in person.

Some of you there run sites that has been in my browser’s start-up tabs since almost 10 years ago now and I admittedly almost got a bit star struck by meeting some of you :-)

As a summary of the event it all started with presenations from our top people within marketing and communication, went on to the introduction of the new Xperia minis by the head of our compact product line and then finished of with a great comprehensive demonstration of the new Facebook inside Xperia integration.

After that the real fun began with hands-on of the new minis and great discussions between us Sony Ericsson representatives and all the tech bloggers. I personally had great discussion with many of the invited guests, of course on our products but also on our presence in online media, my work with this blog and the online buzz of the mobile industry in general.

I hope that you that were there enjoyed the event and keep in touch in the future whenever you have questions or suggestions around our products!

Below are some pictures I shot during the evening and links to articles that were posted by the tech bloggers after the event.

To all of you I had the great pleasure of meeting last night, big thanks for coming and for all the great discussions! Did I miss anyone or got your names or links wrong? Please let me know in the comments section or just drop me an e-mail!

Sony Ericsson exposure ahead of next week’s release of three new aircraft

Android system to become leader of the Sony Ericsson camp, not only heavyweight in a variety of new aircraft this year, come out, and it is ready to launch in the future a greater number of models to capture the market. Recently, according to Taiwan media reports, Sony Ericsson will release three new machines in the next week to mid-market with more market share.

Medium end markets
Although Taiwan’s media, and Sony Ericsson did not disclose those models will be released, but learned that “there is no arc that end, we have not seen will be several new machines.” In the past, some of the information on the network exposure, Sony Ericsson SK17i, ST15i and CK15i the potential to become the protagonist of the conference.
All three may be released in the new models, known as the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10mini PRO2 SK17i the highest frequency of exposure, and will most likely launch. The machine code-named “Mango”, the main orientation is introduced as the XPERIA X10mini PRO successors. Equipped with a 3.0-inch capacitive touch screen, support HVGA resolution and multi-touch features, and Sony Ericsson also equipped with a 1GHz clock speed for the aircraft’s high-pass snapdragon QSD8650 processor, which in the mid-market models of rare.
Sony Ericsson XPERIA Duo or
Sony Ericsson SK17i also equipped with 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM capacity, but also loaded with Android2.3 gingerbread system and built-in 500 million pixel camera, with WCDMA / HSDPA networks and WLAN wireless LAN, GPS navigation, Bluetooth technology, USB connection and memory card expansion functions.
Since Sony Ericsson has previously applied for, including XPERIA Play, XPERIA Neo, XPERIA Arc and XPERIA Duo, including four new trademark. Therefore, in the other machines have been fully unveiled three new cases, with the machine so often the extent of exposure, so that people have every reason to infer that Sony Ericsson SK17i may be the only remaining XPERIA Duo.
XPERIA X10mini successors
As for the other a Sony Ericsson model ST15i codename for the new machine was Smultron, will serve as the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini successor soon. As Xperia X10 mini past itself is functionally almost Xperia X10 mini Pro is not much difference, so the upcoming release of Sony Ericsson ST15i in the functional specifications with SK17i should not much different. Example, will also be equipped with a 3.0-inch capacitive touch screen, support HVGA resolution and multi-touch features, and also will be equipped with high-pass frequency 1GHz snapdragon QSD8650 processor with 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM capacity.
As for the Sony Ericsson ST15i other features should include carrying loaded with Android2.3 gingerbread system and built-in 500 million pixel camera, with WCDMA / HSDPA networks and WLAN wireless LAN, GPS navigation, Bluetooth technology, USB connectivity and memory card expansion functions. Therefore, simply the difference between the aircraft and SK17i may be the abolition of the sliding cover the whole keyboard only.
Relatively mysterious CK15i
As for the Bluetooth testing surfaced just as the Sony Ericsson CK15i is a bit mysterious, according to Japanese media to say this phone is not a smart phone, but the A200 platform, the product of the past, will be equipped with WQVGA resolution screen and QWERTY keyboard to support 3G networks and Bluetooth technology, and other related functions do not have any configuration information.
It is worth mentioning that, although Sony Ericsson has just released the first Walkman phone Atradius system W8, but will not rule out next week before the introduction of the Sony Ericsson W15 exposure possible. And according to those who broke the news before the news, Sony Ericsson will launch this year with a group of about 9 mm ultra-thin body, with a 3.2-3.5 inch touch screen, and the price at 1500-2000 yuan.

Upcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) snapped in every angle, sized up against X10 mini pro

Sony Ericsson has a notoriously bad reputation when it comes to leaks and it doesn’t look like that will stop any time soon. We have a full gallery of pictures below of the yet-to-be-announced successor to the X10 mini pro. The Sony Ericsson SK17i ‘Mango’ will be an Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) device with a 3-inch (320 × 480) display, 5MP camera and sliding QWERTY keyboard.

It has been pictured in almost every angle by the bods over at Mobile.163 in high-res detail leaving nothing to the imagination. They’ve also conveniently compared the handset to the X10 mini pro in a number of the pics (remember the X10 mini pro has a smaller 2.55-inch display). Other things we noticed was a flap cover for the USB port and a 1200mAh battery. All of the pictures are available after the jump.

Anyway, this maybe just a concept prototype. Just share to all Sony Ericsson fans here, this would run below of Xperia Pro specs & it might work without a Mobile Bravia Engine & Exmor 'R' CMOS Sensor, but the design is still pretty cool right.
